Wanted to share in case others are similarly stuck - don't throw out your old cartridges! If you don't have access to old cartridges, then perhaps you can find a heat-resistant plastic that can provide a tighter hole for the ink ribbon to contact the paper and fashion your own. It appears I will need to keep these around and swap them into the new print cartridges. I fortunately have a bunch of old, dried out, ink cartridges with ink guards (the clear plastic cover that goes over the ribbon). I swapped them and then the printer started printing great. The hole was smaller on my old ink guard. I thought this odd, so I took my 35+ year old print head I was replacing (ink had dried out) and popped off the plastic ink guard and compared them. The printer ribbon popped right in, but when printing started I had a horizontal line on the top and bottom of any row where the print head engaged the paper. Wanted to chime in that I was amazed to find these printer ribbons for my 35 year old printer for my Commodore 128/64. Reviewed in the United States on April 28, 2021
